Hot Honey Beef Bowl 🍯🔥
Ingredients (Serves 2–3)
For the beef:
300g beef sirloin or flank steak, thinly sliced
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tbsp sesame oil
1 tbsp cornstarch
1 tsp garlic, minced
1 tsp ginger, minced
For the sauce:
3 tbsp Himalayan Hot Honey
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp rice vinegar (or lemon juice)
1 tsp chili flakes (optional for extra heat)
For the bowl:
2 cups cooked jasmine rice or brown rice
1 cup steamed broccoli
½ cup sautéed bell peppers
1 fried or soft-boiled egg per bowl
Sesame seeds & spring onions for garnish
Instructions
Marinate the beef
In a bowl, combine beef slices with soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, cornstarch, garlic, and ginger.
Mix well and let it sit for 15–20 minutes.
Make the sauce
In a small bowl, whisk together Himalayan Hot Honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and chili flakes. Set aside.
Cook the beef
Heat a pan or wok over medium-high heat.
Add a little oil, then sear beef slices for 2–3 minutes until browned but still tender.
Add the sauce
Pour the hot honey sauce over the beef and toss for 1–2 minutes until glossy and slightly thickened.
Assemble the bowl
Place rice at the base, then top with beef, steamed broccoli, and bell peppers.
Add a fried or soft-boiled egg on top.
Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped spring onions.
Serve
Drizzle extra Himalayan Hot Honey over the top for that final sweet-heat kick.
