Hot Honey Beef Bowl 🍯🔥

Ingredients (Serves 2–3)

For the beef:

  • 300g beef sirloin or flank steak, thinly sliced

  • 2 tbsp soy sauce

  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce

  • 1 tbsp sesame oil

  • 1 tbsp cornstarch

  • 1 tsp garlic, minced

  • 1 tsp ginger, minced

For the sauce:

  • 3 tbsp Himalayan Hot Honey

  • 1 tbsp soy sauce

  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar (or lemon juice)

  • 1 tsp chili flakes (optional for extra heat)

For the bowl:

  • 2 cups cooked jasmine rice or brown rice

  • 1 cup steamed broccoli

  • ½ cup sautéed bell peppers

  • 1 fried or soft-boiled egg per bowl

  • Sesame seeds & spring onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Marinate the beef

    • In a bowl, combine beef slices with soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, cornstarch, garlic, and ginger.

    • Mix well and let it sit for 15–20 minutes.

  2. Make the sauce

    • In a small bowl, whisk together Himalayan Hot Honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and chili flakes. Set aside.

  3. Cook the beef

    • Heat a pan or wok over medium-high heat.

    • Add a little oil, then sear beef slices for 2–3 minutes until browned but still tender.

  4. Add the sauce

    • Pour the hot honey sauce over the beef and toss for 1–2 minutes until glossy and slightly thickened.

  5. Assemble the bowl

    • Place rice at the base, then top with beef, steamed broccoli, and bell peppers.

    • Add a fried or soft-boiled egg on top.

    • Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped spring onions.

  6. Serve

    • Drizzle extra Himalayan Hot Honey over the top for that final sweet-heat kick.
